Looking for postdoc!

We are looking for a Research Fellow to investigate infection and disease resistance in lettuce against the necrotrophic fungal pathogens Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Botrytis cinerea, identifying beneficial alleles and markers and evaluating the potential of systems biology to enhance breeding of disease resistance in horticultural crops.

You will carry out plant pathogen infection studies, quantitative genetic analysis of disease resistance, gene expression profiling, genotyping and transformation in lettuce. You will liaise extensively with project staff at Harper Adams University and with industrial partners.
